Ameritex Dumpsters FAQ's
General FAQ's

How soon can I get a dumpster delivered?
Need it quick? Same-day delivery is available, if you book early (fees may apply). Otherwise, we’ll schedule the earliest convenient time for you. Deliveries run Monday–Saturday, 6 AM to 6 PM—and if you need something special, just let us know. We’ll do our best to make it happen fast
Where can you place the dumpster?
Most often, we place dumpsters on driveways, parking lots, or other flat, open spaces. Need it somewhere specific? Just tell us where—you’ve got options, and we’ll work with you.
What happens if I overload the dumpster?
To keep everyone safe, dumpsters need to be filled only to the top rail—no higher. If a dumpster is overloaded, it can’t be hauled and extra fees may apply. Stick to level loads and you’ll be good to go!
Do I need to be present during the dumpster delivery or pick-up?
Delivery: Yes—an adult must be there to confirm placement and go over details.
Pick-up: Nope! Just send us a quick photo, let us know it’s ready, and we’ll come get it. (We’ll provide easy 3-step instructions when you’re ready for pickup.)
Can I get a dumpster delivered on the weekend?
Absolutely! We deliver Monday through Saturday between 6 AM and 6 PM. We take Sundays off, but if you need a special arrangement, give us a call—we’ll do our best to help. Same-day delivery may be available (an extra fee could apply depending on scheduling).
How does pricing work if my dumpster is overweight?
No stress! You’ve got two pricing options with us:
- Included Weight: Each dumpster includes a certain amount of tonnage (the bigger the dumpster, the more weight included). If you go over, you’ll just pay for the extra tons.

Flat Fee + Pay by Weight: You pay a flat fee for the dumpster and then simply pay by the pound for what you throw away.
Can I move the dumpster after it’s delivered?
No—for safety and liability reasons, dumpsters must remain where our driver places them. Moving, pushing, lifting, pulling, or altering a dumpster after delivery can cause damage and carries a $1,000 fine. If you need the dumpster relocated after it’s been delivered, call us and we’ll move it for you—an additional service fee will apply. Our drivers are pros at placing dumpsters right where you need them the first time.
Can I keep the dumpster longer if I need to?
Take the time you need! Every rental includes a set period for delivery, use, and pickup. If your project runs longer, just add extra days for a small fee—we’ll keep it flexible so you’re never rushed. We’ll work with your schedule, not against it.
What Items are Allowed in the Dumpster?
General Household Items
Household items like housewares, personal items, clothing, plastics, and paper are welcome. Furniture, including mattresses, box springs, chairs, couches, and sofa beds can be disposed of in our dumpsters.
Home Electronics and Appliances
We accept a range of electronics, including TVs, computers, and printers. Appliances like microwaves, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and ovens. (Items must be free of liquid refrigerants).
*Disclaimer – Some of these items are subject to an Additional Dumping Charge. Pricing on these items are based on transfer station rates and requirements, and thus, subject to change. Please contact our office for more details.
Can I put concrete, brick, rock, sod, asphalt, or dirt in a regular dumpster?
Heavy loads need Heavy Duty! Materials like concrete, rock, sod, asphalt, brick and dirt require a Heavy Duty Dumpster and special disposal. Let us know if you’ve got them—we’ll hook you up with the right dumpster for the job.

What is the ideal dumpster size for a residential cleanout?
A Heavy Duty Dumpster (8-yard) (YELLOW) can hold 8 cubic yards of debris, which is about __ to __ large trash bags or __ pickup truck loads. This is a heavy duty dumpster that is specifically designed for a project of heavy materials primarily of concrete, rock, sod, asphalt, and dirt. This dumpster can handle these heavy materials like a rock star. Its a great waste removal option for driveways, landscape jobs, patio’s, foundations and more.
A 10-yard dumpster (WHITE) can hold 10 cubic yards of debris, which is about 50 to 70 large 33-gallon trash bags or eight pickup truck loads. This makes the 10-yard container a great waste removal option for small home projects, like a bathroom remodel, or light demolition projects.
A 15-yard dumpster (BLUE) has a capacity of 15 cubic yards, meaning it can hold about 80 to 100 contractor trash bags or ten pickup truckloads of debris. That’s why our 15-yard dumpster size is the right choice when you’re clearing your home before moving or tearing out a small porch.
A 20 yard dumpster (RED) holds 20 cubic yards of waste, which is about sixteen pickup truck loads. If you are measuring in trash bags, this container holds about 110 to 130 large 33-gallon trash bags. This makes our 20-yard bin a perfect fit for tossing furniture from a full-home cleanout or removing yard debris during a large landscaping project. If you need a 40-yard dumpster we can deliver two 20-yard dumpsters.
A 30-yard dumpster (BLACK) is our largest dumpster size, with a capacity of 30 cubic yards. That’s equivalent to 170 to 190 contractor trash bags or twenty-four pickup truck loads, making it a top choice for projects with large amounts of debris. Use it to toss waste when replacing drywall or to clean out several homes at once.
What size dumpsters do you offer for residential projects?
